Packing electronic goods will be a challenging task as you are dealing with sensitive and expensive items. So a perfect plan and extra care will minimize the damages while packing or handling electronic items. Following few tips while packing and transporting will protect your electronic goods like Computers, CDs & DVDs, Lamps and small appliances– You should disassemble all the parts that can be disconnected by using User guide instructions. Also you need to pack each item separately and in slightly larger box than the item size; this will fit the item strongly. Use antistatic material and tapes to wrap the electronic items and its disconnected parts and place them together in the same box. Seal the box with tape, mark it as “Fragile – Electronic Goods” and indicate the side UP.
Packing kitchen items needs more effort and time as it requires most delicate care, because of fragile and important items like Glassware, China, Pots & Pans, Cutlery, Cups & Mugs and Plates. To arrive at new home with all your items safely, few tips need to be followed. Pack Pots & Pans with a sheet of recycled paper, Plates and serving Dishes are wrapped in clean newsprint, Stemware, Glassware & China should be wrapped in a two bubble sheets. Make sure that all the delicate items are placed in a box and adequately protected by placing a layer of cardboards and peanuts on all sides. Tape the box, mark it as “Fragile – Kitchen Items” and indicate the bottom.
Packing household goods and miscellaneous items is a painful job as it deals with items of almost all the rooms. Hence for a successful packing here are a few tips - identify and keep aside all items that are needed until the last moment like mattresses, pet food etc, and plan in advance for the transportation of Plants and Pets, list out which items should go into each box etc. Disassemble furniture like beds, sofa and tables and carefully save any hardware involved. Also special care must be taken for small items and Jewelry so as not to loose them in packing material. Warp small mirrors, pictures, painting and frames in unprinted newspapers or paper pads. Place all your clothes on hangers in wardrobe cartons and the rest in clean cartons. Most important thing is to check the garage and basement for any left outs. Finally sell or donate any items unused.
